En juillet 97 sort un nouveau film de Batman "Batman & Robin". Comme habituellement un single sort à cette occasion et ce sera "the end is the beginning is the end" du groupe smashing pumpkins .
Le titre aura une seconde vie, en effet en 2008, les producteurs du film Watchmen - Les Gardiens décident de mettre The Beginning Is the End Is The Beginning en fond sonore de leur bande-annonce.
